Defeat Corpser
To defeat the corpser you need to wait for it to lift 3 of its legs to attack you, then when it does that shoot at its stomach. If you shoot it enough it will scream. When it screams it will open its mouth which is glowing inside. Shoot at its mouth and it will scream again. Repeat this another 2 times. After you've done that 3 times the corpser will crawl backwards on to a platform. The platform has two small bridges holding it up. When Dom yells "Wretches! " turn around and shoot the wretches then face the corpser again. The corpser will use its legs as a shield but you can shoot its stomach through the gaps in between its legs. If you do it correctly the corpser will try to slam down on you with 3 of its legs before that happens stand one of the bridges and it wil break the bridge. Do it again but go on the other bridge on the opposite side of the first bridge. After it slams down on the second
bridge the platform its standing on will fall into the lava with the corpser on it, thus killing it.
Chainsaw Madness
The chainsaw on your Lancer has the ability to cut through many things if you get close to it and start it up. This includes doors, walls, and boxes.

Deafeating RAAM Easily
Before you go through the door that leads to RAAM make sure you are full on your grenades and you have the torque bow. Then when you start the fight stay at the block of cover it starts you in. Shoot RAAM a few times with the torque bow to do some damage to him. Then you need to get RAAM to walk in front of your cover then take your grenades and throw them at his feet. This should kill him instantly. (Make sure you throw all of them or it wont work).
Defeating RAAM On Insane Difficulty
You'll need two player one player should be equipped with full boomshot and the other player should be equipped with full toruqe bow now when the battle starts hide right behind the barricade to start one play needs to shot RAAM with either the toruqe bow or boomshot the kryll should scatter then while the player that shot the kryll is reloading the other player should fire next and the after that player fires the weapon is reloading the other player should fire again if preformed correctly RAAM should go down rather quickly.
Kung-Fu Flip
First of all make sure you are somewhere you can jump over a little block. After that make sure the icon for jumping over is on your screen. So now your left trigger up and your right trigger down. After that let go of the right trigger and then the left trigger down. After that press A and you should be floating, if done correctly. Then press A+B then you are free to explore the map or camp for the whole game Note:This glitch should never EVER! Be done in a RANKED MATCH only in player match.
The Cogs
Act 1
Prison Area
1. After you choose paths go straight ahead. The
tag is under the logo.
2. In the room where the Locust cut through the
door. If you are facing away from the door it is
to the back of the right side.
3. When you enter the outside courtyard, go up
the small staircase on your left. It is in the
corner on your left.
Trial By Fire
4. It is in the small courtyard after you exit
the building. It is to the right of the Gears
logo. Your team will point it out to you.
5. After you cross a bridge you enter a building
will a lot of broken pillars. There are two
Emergence Holes in this room. The tag is behind
the second one in the grass.
6. This one is in the large battle area with the
fountain in the middle. The tag is in the back
left corner if you face the logo.
Knock Knock
7. When you enter the outside area (in front of
the House Of Sovereigns) with lots of stairs,
there is a van with a logo on it and a big hole
to the left. If you follow the edge of the hole
up, the tag is in that corner.
8. In the hallway where you fight all the
wretches, the tag is in the left corner if you
face the door Jack is ripping. It is easier to
get it after killing everything.
9. You will enter a small room where you find
the body of Rojas (a dead Alpha soldier). The
tag is in the direct right corner after coming
down the stairs. Its behind the column.
China Shop
10. Immediately after the Berserker intermission
sequence, the tag is in the flaming area to one
of your sides. There is a logo in there.
11. You must get the Berserker to smash down
doors. In the third room before the final door,
the tag is in the last alcove to your left if
you are facing the door.
12. Once you get outside after tag #11, you will
enter a courtyard. Go to the left and follow the
wall. The tag is behind one of the broken blocks
along the wall. You must get this one before you
kill the Berserker.
Act 2
Tick Tick Boom
13. After you split up but later meet again, you
reach a room with stairs in the middle. They
lead to a couch. The tag is under the couch.
14. There is a room that you enter in which you
walk on catwalks. After you leave this room, you
go down some stairs that lead to the street. The
tag is down under and behind the stairs.
15. When you come up on the stranded gateway
(not in it but prior), there is a tag back
behind the newspaper dispensers. There is a logo
above it.
Outpost
16. After the first checkpoint there is an
outside area where an Emergence Hole appears.
After that there is a shed to the left. There is
a propane tank in it. Shoot the tank before
going to get the tag in the shed.
Lethal Dusk-Dark Labyrinth
17. This one is in the area that you must use
the spotlight and guide Dom. It is in far left
corner of the street, next to a pile of rubble.
Shine the light on the tag after Dom has pulled
the switch.
Dark Labyrinth
18. After you exit a destroyed building, there
is a tag to the right just around the corner.
This is before you reach the gas station.
Act 3
Downpour
19. After you split up to find an entrance to
the factory, you will reach an area outside.
There are little shelters along the way. There
is a shelter with an elevator in it. Behind it
is a dock that leads out to sea. The tag is on
the end of the dock.
20. It is in the room in which you must walk on
the broken floorboards. It is in the far right
corner. Make sure to stay on the metal beams to
reach the tag.
Evolution - Coalition Cargo
21. When you enter the room with the mine carts
that you ride, go down the stairs and turn to
the right. The tag is next to the stairs. Make
sure to get it before activating the carts.
Darkest Before Dawn
22. After you enter the caves on the drilling
platforms, follow the path and stay to the
right. Go down the right path and you will reach
a steel door. The tag is in front of it.
23. A little bit after tag #22, you will enter
an area where you will fight some Locust, and
there is a small building to the right. The tag
is to the right of the stairs leading to it.
24. After you and Dom split and meet, you will
go down a narrow passage with Locust in it.
After this you will see a Corpser moving to your
left. There is a small ledge to your right.
There is a tag on it. There is also some ammo at
this location.
Act 4
Campus Grinder
25. When you enter the first area with a big
fountain, look to the right. There are two small
staircases. The tag is behind the second, or
farther, one.
Bad To Worse
26. After you leave Delta 2 behind, you will
reach a street with a car to one side and a
walkway with a ton of columns on the other side.
The tag is behind the left side of the car (if
you are facing the car abd not the columns).
Imaginary Place
27. In the second section of the house you will
enter an office-like room. It has lots of books
and a desk. Destroy the desk. The tag is under
it.
Act 5
Train Wreck
28. This tag is just inside the door that Jack
rips open. It is on the left side of the room.
29. This tag is on the floor just before you
climb the ladder to the roof of the train.
30. Get to the second train car that you must
drop the big tanks in order to cross. You should
be on the right side of the car. There is a
storage corridor to your left on the same car.
You must go around to the left and into the
storage room. The final tag is at the end of the
corridor. Make sure to get the tag before you
enter the next door.
General RAAM Easy Kill
To do this you need a torque bow and another weapon of your choice as long as its not the longshot. When you start the fight Stay Put. You only need to move if he invades your bubble. First you need the bow. Shoot him once and switch to your other weapon. If you run out, you have a lower chance of beating him. Whatever you do, stay away from the troika unless your really skilled use it. But if not then I hope you and kryll are friends.
Killing The Berseker Without Trouble
When you lure the berseker outside, use the hammer of dawn. After you use it you will notice the berseker has turned red. Immediately after this, use a grenade and press B. This will attach the grenade to the berseker killing him instantly. Note: This is faster and easier if you use it in coop. One guy uses the hammer of dawn and the other one uses the grenade.
Chainsaw Blow Up
When you are going to chainsaw someone to make them blow up press B then Y and RT then move the left stick. Do this all at the same time.
Easy Way To Kill Boomers
Take out a grenade and simply tag the Boomer by pressing B.
Beat The Game On Hardcore, Not Insane!
By beating the game on hardcore, you can get the same campaign achievements as you would if you played the game on insane.
Chainsaw Glich
First hide behind a wall then when you can go around it press A then quickly press B and hold both A and B at the same time and run into someone and they will explode. They also can't stop you from chainsawing them unless you get downed.
Achieving The Cluster Kill
To get the achievement of killing three enemies at once, ten times, go to the stage Act 3 - Evolution. Now locate the area of the Immulsion plant where the guy got killed when he fell through the rotted wooden floor. Take along at least one grenade and simply follow the dead guy down the hole or any other hole, if you step in the wrong spot. Run around the cellar until you think you have at least three enemies following you. Tag one with a grenade melee attack. If you die, that's OK, since you restart right at the checkpoint of that room and do it again. Achievement progress should be independent of game progress. If not, reload the checkpoint and do it again.
Dealing With Wretches
Wretches are very annoying since they swarm your soldier and kill him nearly instantly on medium and hard. The best way to deal with them is to use a shotgun or the alien repeater, since those weapons let you nail them without the dangerous downtime of the chainsaw. The shotgun is best for the in close situation, since you can skip the left trigger and hip fire the shotgun quickly to catch the wretches as they hop around. Smacking them if they get close is the only way to counter, short of using A to dodge.
Rapid Fire Longshot, Boomshot, Or Torque Bow
Shoot the Longshot, Boomshot, or Torque Bow. When the active reload bar gets to the broad area, press RB + B and immediately fire the weapon. If done correctly, you can keep shooting without reloading. This glitch does not do damage but can be a distraction.
Two Player Path Block
Use the following trick while playing in two player mode and you reach a difficult part with a doorway. Have one player die in the doorway. This will create a block that the Locust cannot get past. They will usually line up behind your dead partner, allowing you a safe zone to easily pick them off. Once it is clear, just revive your partner and move on.
Fighting The Wretches
When fighting wretches (small, shrieking enemies that don't use weapons) attack them with melee strikes. The best melee strikes do not come from your grenades and Lancer chainsaw rifle. The chainsaw attack is too slow to combat the wretches when they swarm, so stick to quick-hit melee punches for instant kills.
Regain Health
Unlike some games, you can regain all of your health in Gears of War without needing to find health packs. Just stay behind cover for a few moments and watch as the bright-red gear in the center of the screen fades away. When the gear has comlpetely disappeared, your health will be restored.
Avoiding The Kryll
In the chapter 2 of the game, you will be swarmed by enemy kryll whenever you are in dark areas. To avoid being attacked, stay in the light areas. When there's no light in sight, locate propane canisters you can blow up to create some flames that will scare off the kryll.
Quick Reload
When reloading a weapon, pay attention to the upper-right corner of the screen for the meter that counts down. Press the reload button a second time when the meter's moving bar matches up with the stationary bar. This will give you a much faster reload and put you back in the fight quicker than normal. However, if you do not properly time the second button press your reload will take longer than normal.
Beating The Berserker
To beat the Beserker at the end of act one, dive to the side whenever she charges at you. Run through the doorway to your right and continue to the door at the end of the room and put your back to it. Get the Berserkers' attention by shooting at her or revving the chainsaw. Now dive away at the last moment when she charges. This will cause her to break the door down for you.
Faster Reload
When you press RB to reload, there will be a clear bar with a small white segment somewhere along it. It will appear where your bullets used to be. There will also be a smaller white bar moving across the clear bar. As soon as the white bar gets inside the white segment, press RB again. This will reload your weapon much faster, and if timed just perfectly, will give your gun an extra boost in fire power. However, if you do not time it correctly, the clear bar will become red and it will take even longer to reload than if you had not attempted it.
Hidden Video
Turn on the game and wait for the "Gears Of War: Press Start" screen to appear. Do not press Start. Allow the screen to idle for a few of minutes, and a video will begin to play about Emergence Day.
Finding Cog Tags
There are thirty hidden Cog Tags scattered throughout the game. They are small and often hard to find, but there is a mark you can look out for that will make finding the Cog Tags easier. Look for large, red Gear logos pasted on the walls. If you find a room with this large Gear logo, examine the room and you are sure to find a Cog Tag somewhere inside.
Closing Emergence Holes
When an Emergence Hole opens up, toss a grenade into it. This will automatically close the hole, and therefore keep the locusts from coming out.
Finding C.O.G. Tags
In Campaign mode, look for the dead soldier symbol (red gear with skull inside) painted on a wall, floor, or other location. This indicates that the Locust have killed some Gear soldiers in the area. Because Gear soldiers wear C.O.G. tags, you should be able to find one nearby.
Closing Emergence Holes
Fire a Torque Bow arrow into an Emergence Hole. This is somewhat challenging to do, due to the straight line of fire given by the bow. However, if you are close enough to fire while the line of fire is arced, it is possible to make it into the hole. A Torque Arrow stuck in the top of the hole will close it as well.
Defeat General RAM
When it comes time to battle General RAM their are a few things you should know. First, Wait till the locus move away from him. You could shoot all day but until they move you wont hurt him. Use the torque bow or a grenade to scare them away and then blow the hell out of him. Second, if you can make it to the machine gun on the other side of the train car do it. That will scare away the locus and kill him fast. Just stay in the light. Good luck and happy gameing.
General Raam Easy Kill
To kill General Raam easily and quickly, stay at the bunker that you get in the start of battle. When General Raam gets there, take off running, but make sure the Kryll are still on him. Go to the Troika where General Raam came from. Lob a grenade at him, then use the turret to kill him. Do this 3-4 times to win.

Pause gameplay, and at the menu press: A, A, A, B, X, Up, Down, Right. If entered correctly, you'll hear a click sound. Note: If you get shot from everywhere or by cover, you'll health will not drop. Enter the code again to disable its effect.
